In order to vote, a person must be a registered voter.

The requirements to become a registered voter are:

  • Be a United States citizen;
  • Be a resident of Utah for at least 30 days immediately before the next Election;
  • Be at least 18 years old by the next election; and
  • Have principal place of residence in a specific voting precinct in Utah.

Primary Election 2014

  • May 27th - By-mail
  • June 16th - In-office

General Election 2014

  • Oct 6th - By-mail
  • Oct 27th - In-office

There are now more ways than ever to register to vote:

1.  Qualified persons may register electronically online at If you have a Utah driver license, your on-line application can be submitted to our office electronically.  Please use the link below:


2.  Qualified persons can register in person in the Weber County Clerk/Auditor’s Office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If submitted 15 days or more before the next election, voter will be eligible for Early Voting. If submitted between 8 and 14 days before the next election, voter will only be eligible for voting on Election Day.

3.  Qualified persons may also register to vote by submitting a by-mail application form. The form must be completed and signed by the applicant. The applicant can mail or deliver the form to the County Clerk/Auditor’s Office. If mailed, the application must be postmarked no later than 30 days prior to the date of the next election.

4.  Qualified persons may register to vote when applying for or renewing a driver license. The Driver License Division will assist applicants in completing the form and will transmit the completed forms to the Weber County Clerk/Auditor Office.  The 30-day registration deadline applies to these registrants.
