Members in Attendance: Mayors Keith Butler, Richard Hendrix, Lee Dickemore, Korry Green, Sue Bybee, Jim Truett, Representative Neil Garner, Commissioners  Gibson, Zogmaister, Bell

Others in Attendance: Mr. Doug Larsen, Mr. Ron Chandler, Mr. Ben Wuthrich, Mr. Chuck Wight, Mr. Bob Hunter

  1. Welcome – Mayor Burrows

  2. Pledge of Allegiance – Commissioner Gibson

  3. Invocation – Mayor Hendrix

  4. Approval of Minutes from 12/3/2012
  5. It was decided that the Council members would individually email Ms. Smith the corrections from the December 2012 meeting minutes and the approval of them would be postponed until the February 2013 meeting.

  6. Public Comments
  7. Commissioner Gibson introduced the new staff members: Ms. Melissa Smith who will be serving as the WACOG secretary, Ms. Paige Greenhalgh: Commissioner Gibson’s assistant, and Ms. Brooke Stewart: Commissioner Bell’s assistant.

    Mr. Bob Hunter announced that United Way is holding a free breakfast to discuss its 2013 Legislative agenda on 1/17 at the City Creek Marriott in Salt Lake City.

  8. Weber State President, Mr. Chuck Wight, introduced himself and mentioned his interest in access, learning, and community.

  9. Changes to 2013 Committee Assignments
  10. Storm Water – Commissioner Gibson suggested that he be replaced on the Storm Water Committee as an alternate and Mayor Korry Green agreed to take the position.

    Action: Commissioner Zogmaister called for a motion that Mayor Green replace Commissioner Gibson on the Storm Water Committee.  Commissioner Gibson seconded the motion.  All members voted in favor of Mayor Green serving.

    Motion: The action passed.

    JPAC – Commissioner Gibson suggested that Commissioner Matthew Bell replace him as an alternate on the JPAC Committee. Commissioner Bell agreed.

    Action: Commissioner Gibson called for a motion that Commissioner Bell replace Commissioner Gibson as an alternate on the JPAC Committee.  Commissioner Zogmaister seconded the motion.  All members voted in favor of Commissioner Bell serving.

    Motion: The action passed.

    Transcom – Commissioner Gibson suggested that Commissioner Matthew Bell replace him as an alternate on the Transcom Committee.  Commissioner Bell
    agreed.

    Action: Commissioner Gibson called for a motion that Commissioner Bell replace Commissioner Gibson as an alternate on the Transcom Committee. Commissioner Zogmaister seconded the motion.  All members voted in favor of Commissioner Bell serving.

    Motion: The action passed.

  11. Mr. Douglas Larsen discussed the WACOG Transportation Fund request timeline for 2013.

  13. Action: Mayor Burrows called for a motion to adjourn.  Commissioner Gibson seconded the motion.  All members voted in favor of adjourning.
