Ken grew up working on a farm in Lovell Wyoming. After graduation from Lovell High, Ken attended Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming, where he lettered in both basketball and football. After one year of college, Ken spent two years in the Eastern States serving a mission for his church. Following his mission he attended Brigham Young University, graduating in 1965.
Following graduation, Ken and his wife Maris, moved to Ogden where he took a position with Del Monte Corp. After one year with Del Monte, he began a successful Life Insurance career which lasted for 35 years.
Ken was elected County Commissioner in 1998 and reelected in 2002. He resides in Ogden with his wife, Maris. They have five children and eight grandchildren.
Ken brings a wealth of business knowledge to the Commission. His ability to work with people and build strong coalitions has proven to be an asset in County Government.
Ken enjoys a variety of hobbies including hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoys reading and good music.
