QUITTING TOBACCO
"Tobacco cessation courses are offered at no cost to assist community members in their efforts to stop smoking."

FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

These courses fulfill court required tobacco cessation classes when youth are ticketed for tobacco use, according to Utah Code 76-10-105.

Space is limited and classes fill up fast. Must be pre-registered to attend.

TOBACCO AWARENESS CLASSES

A series of three, two-hour sessions, geared toward educating youth who have just started to experiment with tobacco. The class is held with youth and their parents.

 

END (End Nicotine Dependence)

A series of four, two-hour classes, geared toward helping teens understand tobacco addiction and quit. The class will help youth through the process of quitting and reducing smoking.

 

The Utah Tobacco Quit Line provides Utah residents with free over-the-phone, one-on-one counseling.

Together you and your "quit coach" will develop a personal plan to help you quit once and for al. Many individuals also qualify to receive a four-week supply of their choice of nicotine gum or nicotine patches.

The "First Step" prenatal smoking cessation program is a guided self-help approach to quitting. It begins with a free, no-obligation orientation meeting with up to 6 follow-up contacts. Women who sign up for the class recieve fun and free incentives to inspire and increase their chances of quitting and experiencing a healthier pregnancy.
