Weber County Planning Division - Welcome

Welcome to the Weber County Planning Division web page. The web page is an extension of the Planning Division Customer Service Strategy, which is to be helpful to citizens, customers, and other agencies.

You will find information regarding Weber County’s two general plans for the unincorporated county, (the West Central Weber County General Plan and the Ogden Valley General Plan including the Recreation Element) and the County Land Use Code (zoning, subdivision and sign regulations).

Those wanting to submit applications will find application forms, a fee schedule, and instructions on how to make an application. Tracking applications is easy; just click on the Miradi link.

Weber County has two planning commissions, i.e., the Western Weber Township Planning Commission and Ogden Valley Township Planning Commission, as well as, a Board of Adjustment. The Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment agendas, minutes, and staff reports are posted for each meeting. Postings for upcoming public hearings, draft ordinance and plan amendments are provided.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions or offer a suggestion. We can be reached by calling (801) 399-8791 or via e-mail by clicking on the envelope in the upper right hand corner.

Miradi

Miradi is a collaborative electronic reviewing and project tracking solution for Weber County which means 'project' in Swahili. Miradi treats everything as a project. An ordinance amendment, building permit, subdivision, board of adjustment appeal, and business license are all examples of different types of land use activities and permits. At an abstract level, each example is a project involving many unique properties, aspects, people, and reviewing agencies.

Miradi helps to organize and track projects. Reviews, dates (submittal, expiration, etc), files, comments, parcels, violations, etc, can be added to a project. Every user can follow any number of projects and receive notifications of new project activity. The dashboard shows new activity and keeps track of a users projects.

Reviewing agencies are selected when a project is created. These agencies can add reviews and comments to a project, helping the project manager gather expert information and present findings to decision makers all in a very timely manner.
