Ch 1 - Adoption of Utah Code Traffic Rules and Regulations
27-1-1 Repeal
Sections 1-1 and 1-3 through 1-6 of former Title 19, Traffic Code, (present Title 27) and Sections 2-1 through 2-4 of former Title 19 are hereby repealed.
27-1-2 Adoption of Utah Code Traffic Rules and Regulations
The Traffic Rules and Regulations contained in Utah Code Annotated Title 41, Chapter 6 (1953), as amended, are hereby adopted as the Traffic Rules and Regulations of Weber County, except those provisions thereof providing a penalty greater than a Class B misdemeanor; and by this reference are made a part of Title 27, Weber County Revised Ordinances to the same extent and effect as though said Title and Chapter were set forth herein in full. (Amd. by Ord. #27-77. Nov. 17, 1977.)
27-1-3 Amendments
In order to assure continuing uniformity of traffic law enforcement, this Ordinance will include any and all periodic amendments made to Title 41, Chapter 6 by the Utah State Legislature after the effective date hereof.
27-1-4 Citation
These ordinances shall be designated as a Weber County Ordinance by substituting Title 27 for Title 41, followed by the appropriate Chapter and Section numbers of the Utah Code.

Ch 2 - Additional Rules and Regulations
27-2-1 Speed Limit on Certain County Roads
There is hereby enacted an ordinance providing for a maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour on the following Weber County Roads:
- Midland Drive from Pennsylvania Avenue West to Utah Highway #84.
- The North Fork Road from State Highway #162 in Liberty, Weber County, north to the Cache County Line.
- Pleasant View Drive from the North Ogden City limits West to the junction of that Drive with State Highway #106 at Hot springs.
- State Highway #242 from its junction with State Highway #39 running North to the Cache County line. (Ord. *11-71, Nov. 12, 1970.)
27-2-2 Driving - Speed to be Reasonable and Prudent
No person shall drive a vehicle on a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions and having regard to the actual and potential hazards then existing. In every event speed shall be so controlled as may be necessary to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle, or other conveyance on or entering the highway in compliance with legal requirements and the duty of all persons to use due care. (Ord. # 2-51, Feb. 1, 1951.)
27-2-3 Negligent Collision
It shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle with such lack of due care and in such a negligent manner as to cause the same to collide with any vehicle, person or object. (Added in 1985 revision.)
27-2-4 Reasonable and Proper Lookout
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle on the streets of this county without keeping a reasonable and proper lookout for other traffic, persons or objects. (Added in 1985 revision.)
27-2-5 Violation a Misdemeanor - Penalty
Any person, firm or Corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished as provided by the laws of the State of Utah for Class B misdemeanors. (Ord. #4-87, January 5, 1987.)
