WHEREAS, in the course of the Sheriff’s enforcement duties it is often necessary to cite
individuals for violations of the various state rules regulating wildlife resources; and
WHEREAS, Weber County would like to cite violators for county ordinance violations
rather than state code violations since violators are processed by county enforcement officers,
prosecuted in county courts by county prosecutors, and incarcerated, if necessary, in county jails;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Weber County Commission as follows:
Sections 36-1-1 Adoption of the Utah Wildlife Resources Code, Rules and Regulations

include any and all periodic amendments to the State Rules and Regulations, Title 23, after the
effective date of this title, made by the Utah State Legislature or by the Utah Department of Natural
