WEBER COUNTY
ROADS DEPARTMENT

Winter Scene at Causey Weber County is fortunate to have some of the finest scenery, attractions and sporting venues found anywhere in Utah.  One thing that these places all have in common is that roads are generally used to get there.  We at the Weber County Road Department take pride in seeing that the public can get around from place to place in our county whatever the season or reason.  This photograph shows 2 county machines opening up the road to the Scout Camp at Causey after a particularly big snowfall in 1996.  But the Road Department is not just about snow removal.  We are genuinely interested in how the roads under our care look and feel to those that use our scenic byways once passing through, or commuting every day.

We are small in number, only 14 drivers and operators to handle the maintenance on 205 miles of county roads.  But thanks to some modern equipment, we do pack a pretty good punch when it comes to getting the job done.  The help of a great office manager and 4 top drawer mechanics is also a big plus in keeping us out on the road.  It is our hope that when you see us out there, you will slow down and wave as you go by.  Please drive safely!  We will do our part if you will do yours.  Driving is more about attitude than skill.  Enjoy what Weber County has to offer and we will see you on the road.
