
Mission Statement
To assure quality service through professional
standards and training for all Weber County Sheriff's Office
members.
Organization
The Professional Standards and Training
Section is commanded by a captain or lieutenant who directs
the activities of the Internal Affairs Unit, the Training
Unit, and Public Information dissemination.
Internal Affairs Unit
Supervised by the Section Commander, who
oversees the activities of one or two inspectors. These inspectors
conduct internal investigations of any complaints against
members by citizens or other employees; or other special investigations
or inspections as directed by the Sheriff.
In-Service Training Unit
One or more members are assigned to coordinate
all training and recording of members regarding certification
and mandatory and optional training programs for the Sheriff's
office.
