Auxiliary Corps

The Weber County Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Deputy Corps consists of twenty-one volunteer deputies. The duties of the corps are to provide support to the Sheriff's Office during emergencies and special events. They also assist patrol deputies during regular shifts where they have the opportunity to learn and prepare themselves for a career in law enforcement. Each member of the corps must be certified in the state of Utah as a Special Function Officer or Peace Officer. No others are considered. The following are a just a few of the assignments the corps handles when performing duties for the Sheriff's Office:

  • Fairgrounds (Rodeos, Weber County Fair, and other events)
  • Community celebrations
  • Patrol duties
  • Crime-scene security
