The Weber County Sheriff's Office Motor Squad was started in 1998. The Motor Squad currently uses four Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycles for use on the various assignments it has throughout the county. The Motor Squad can be seen providing services to the community in a variety of ways.

Some of these assignments include:

• Traffic enforcement
• Accident investigation
• Funeral escorts
• Parade details
• Olympics Torch Run
• Special Olympics Torch Run
• VIP escorts

The Motor Squad has seven motorcycle-certified deputies. These deputies have attended and successfully completed the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) Motor School. This school provides the deputy with the skills necessary for riding a motorcycle while engaged in enforcing traffic rules and regulations.
