About the Patrol/Operations Bureau

The Patrol/Operations Bureau is the largest part of the Weber County Sheriff's Office and is also the most visible. It is known to some as the backbone of the Weber County Sheriff's Office. The responsibility of maintaining an orderly and safe environment for all citizens and guests of Weber County is upheld by providing professional and courteous service at all times.

In 2002, the Weber County Sheriff's Office Patrol/Operations Bureau played a vital role in the 2002 Winter Olympics. Many of our deputies were utilized in specialty units to maintain crowd control and overall safety across the Wasatch Front. This left tremendous work for the remaining deputies in Patrol who maintained all areas of coverage throughout Weber County. The Weber County Sheriff's Office is proud of the men and women who serve this section.

Animal Services is now also under the Patrol/Operations Bureau, and has 16 employees. Their dedication and compassion to these animals is remarkable.
