5-21-2014 -- VANDALS TAG FREMONT HIGH SCHOOL

VANDALS TAG FREMONT HIGH SCHOOL

Plain City – On the night of May 19th 2014, Fremont High School was vandalized by an unknown number of suspects who spray painted graffiti around the exterior of the school.

Staff members arriving at the school Tuesday morning discovered the graffiti that was profane and sexually-oriented in nature.  The amount of graffiti was extensive, covering a majority of the exterior walls, doors, windows, portable buildings, trees and walkways.

Maintenance crews from the Weber School District have spent the past day and a half removing the graffiti.  The estimated cost of clean-up and restoration will likely be several thousand dollars.  A $1000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office are reviewing video surveillance footage as well as talking to students in hopes of being able to identify the culprits.

For more specific information regarding the clean-up process, cost of damages, and the reward being offered, please contact Weber School District PIO Nate Taggart at (801)721-9064.

Anyone with suspect information should contact the Weber Consolidated Dispatch Center at (801)629-8221.
