Weber County Planning Division - Welcome

Welcome to the Weber County Planning Division web page. The web page is an extension of the Planning Division Customer Service Strategy, which is to provide helpful information to citizens, customers, and other agencies. A customer service reply card is provided in the upper right hand corner.

On the web page you will find information regarding Weber County’s two general plans for the unincorporated county, (the West Central Weber County General Plan and the Ogden Valley General Plan including the Recreation Element). The purpose of these general plans is to establish Weber County’s future land use direction. The zoning ordinance is one of the primary tools for Weber County to implement the General Plans. The Weber County zoning ordinance and subdivision ordinance can be accessed by clicking on the ordinance link.

Those wanting to submit applications will find application forms, a fee schedule, and instructions on how to make an application.

Other features of the web page include information related to other studies, e.g., the recently completed Weber County Cooperative Pathways Master Plan. This Plan is a joint effort between all Weber County cities, Weber County, regional, state, and federal agencies to establish an integrated pathways map.

Weber County has two planning commissions, i.e., the Western Weber Township Planning Commission and Ogden Valley Township Planning Commission, as well as, a Board of Adjustment. The Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment agendas, minutes, and staff reports are posted for each meeting. Postings for upcoming public hearings, draft ordinance and plan amendments are provided.

The interactive map feature is one of the most popular features of the web page. It allows users the ability to query information and see multiple data layers on any area of the county.

The main meeting place for both the Planning Commissions and the Board of Adjustment is in the County Commission Chambers of the Weber Center (2380 Washington Blvd) unless otherwise noted. The pre-meeting/training for the Planning Commissions in room 108 is open to the public to attend but not available for public comments. Applicants needed for the Western Weber County Township Planning Commission

 The Weber County Commission is taking applications for the Western Weber County Township Planning Commission. The Planning Commission meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. and the 3rd Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Special meetings may be scheduled throughout the year. Applications can be picked up at the Weber County Planning Division office, 2380 Washington Blvd., Suite 240, Ogden UT. Accepting applications until position filled. Call Sherri at 399-8791 for further information.
