NOTE: These policies or procedures are for internal use in the Weber County Sheriff’s Office only, and do not enlarge an employee’s civil or criminal liability or responsibility in any way. They should not be construed as the creation of a higher standard of safety or care in an evidentiary sense, with respect to third party claims. Violations of these directives, if proven, can only form the basis for a complaint by this agency, and then only in a non-judicial administrative setting.

Chapter 17 should be interpreted to be consistent with, but a supplement to, the grievance process set out in the Weber County Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual. In the event of inconsistencies the Weber County Policies will control.
