Weber County Website Hits 1 Million – Again!

The word is out and the numbers are in. Weber County officials have seen the public’s use of the county’s property tax website skyrocket. The website that routinely had 200,000 to 300,000 log-ins per year broke1 Million log-ins in 2012 and passed 1.2 Million in 2013!

“We are excited,” said Treasurer John Bond “for two reasons: First, this website gives our taxpayers easy access to their property tax information and provides immediate answers to many questions concerning their property. Second, our business community, banks and credit unions, along with title and mortgage companies are more efficiently and effectively transacting business. It also breaks the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. lock on business.” The website is always open and always updated. The moment a transaction occurs in the office, it is on the web.

The website’s ‘Property Tax Information’ feature provides a variety of information, including: taxes, values, ownership, legal description, plat maps and up to 20 years of tax history.

“Internet tax payments have really shot up too,” Bond said. In 2006, when internet payments first became available in the county, there were 622 internet payments made that paid $726,399 in taxes. In 2013, it has increased to 5,732 payments totaling $8.9 million.

The employees who work on the website continue to make the site more and more user-friendly. Ideas from the public have helped improve its functionality and any suggestions or comments may be forwarded to the Weber County Treasurer at:
